"In North Carolina, a power substation was shot up, depriving thousands of electricity."
I read this morning that a similar incident just took place in Washington State though without the same impact on power consumers.
It looks like the Washington thing was a copycat incident, and that might be something new we have to worry about from MAGA gun nuts.
Speaking of guns, my last story is about a heavily armed MAGA crowd that chanted Trumpist messages and rendered Nazi salutes in Columbus Ohio as they succeeded in shutting down a private LGBTQ-supportive holiday celebration at a local church.
An LGBTQ-friendly restaurant in North Carolina just canceled a bimonthly special dinner featuring drag queens ... after law enforcement warned them of credible threats of violence.
This morning, I learned that a restaurant just south of Seattle revealed that somebody had fired a shot through their front window after a MAGA group posted information about their own occasional LGBTQ-inclusive events. The restaurant is standing firm for the moment, refusing to shut the events down.
Violence against LGBTQ people surged in the United States when Trump took office, and it has not abated since he lost the election. In fact, data indicates that it's probably getting worse.
Terrorism, indeed. And as always, members of stigmatized minorities are in the crosshairs of the terrorists.
