In my personal experience, Elle Beau, gay men are far more likely to tacitly accept poly relationships than straight men. Although today, we sort of aren’t “supposed” to talk about that.

Radical queer liberation ideals are still huge among tons of LGBTQ people, and Millennials are getting on board, but radical liberation has always competed with a more integrationist approach, as represented by some of the larger LGBTQ activist organizations like HRC and GLAAD.

Corporate Queer likes to present the line the we’re all pretty much the same, and that gay people are just straight people with different genders.

Under the surface, though, convention breaking is still big, and our youngest generation is being raised to question everything.

So I can see two movements competing with each other at times, but not always at odds. What happens down the road is anybody’s guess.
