In fact, a growing body of evidence indicates that women make better combat pilots than men. This is, of course, a very broad statement, and causality hasn't been looked at with any rigor. It's possible that overcoming negative stereotypes means that the women who make it up the ladder against obstacles are just bound to be better than men who don't have as many obstacles.
It's hard to say. What isn't hard to say is the professional air forces around the world recognize that women make fantastic combat pilots.
