Important tips, thanks!

You know, I'm pretty self-protective to the point of being cynical, so I don't worry a lot about scammers on dating apps. And 61 years old, I've been around and I recognize most of the techniques.

But ...

I do worry about increasing reports of violence connected to Grindr and similar hookups.

It seems like every other week or so, I read about a guy who met up with somebody from Grindr (or Scruff, etc) and got beaten up and robbed.

I live in a very conservative, rural area, and I think the risk of that sort of thing for me is greater than negligible.

And back to my age, I'm not as strong and healthy as I used to be. So, I don't know. I just wish there were other, safer ways of meeting people.
