Important detail for a scotch lover! Someone who's cultivated a taste for single malt scotch ... I mean, single malts can be very different from one another, but they tend to have very pronounced (read: strong and unpleasant to many people) flavor profiles.

The idea that somebody who had cultivated a taste for them would then sip on Cutty Sark, well, that's definitely out of place!

It's not a "bad" whiskey per se, but it's unlikely a single-malt lover would do anything with it but mix cocktails.
