I’m wondering how criminal prosecution might change this picture. I know serious investigations are pending in New York on the state level. Indications are that Trump may have committed some pretty serious crimes.

But if he is charged and convicted, does that change anything or does it just make him a martyr as popular as ever?

If he dies (just given his age) or goes to prison, can trumpism survive without its magnetic leader?
