I’m sure the same judges would take quite the opposite view about trans kids socially transitioning and taking puberty blockers temporarily, which some states are moving to ban based on factually incorrect assumptions of harm.

Laws need to be based on actual evidence, not religious belief and counter-factual conspiracy theory. Sadly, the courts have been so subverted by the Republican Party via the appointment of religious fanatics, that we can’t trust them to value facts and data.
