I'm not going anywhere! Tens of thousands of people read my stories about equality because they find them on Twitter. I've never used Twitter because I enjoy it. I don't; it's toxic and ugly for LGBTQ people like it is for Black people – because it's a reflection of society.

I wrote last week about an ugly anti-LGBTQ incident that took place at a small store where I went to buy eggs. That's the real deal – in real life and on Twitter.

I use Twitter to try to be a small, positive force for change. I can't think of any reason why I'd stop.
