I’m impressed with the great job you did! You know, going by your photo, I’m a lot older than you are, but those sorts of stories have been flying around boys locker rooms since I was a boy.

When I was in high school, I knew about kids who were into auto erotic asphyxiation. We didn’t have the internet then to learn about things, so it’s instructive how these sorts of ideas can fly around under the cultural radar forever.

I can’t remember why now, but I once had to have a talk with my own kid about the subject. I can’t remember if he came to me or I overheard him talking about the subject with his friends, but I figured I’d better get him some good information.

It’s tough to have those kinds of frank conversations with kids around the age of puberty. Fortunately by then (early 2000s) the Internet was going strong and I was able to do some good research.
