I’m feeling a lot more isolated even though I live deep in the countryside with few neighbors. While being autistic makes country life suitable for me, I hadn’t quite realized how much social interaction was still part of my daily routines.

Now that the little things are gone, like chatting with a waiter at a restaurant or coming across people fishing in the village pond, it’s surprising how much MORE cut off I feel.

I’m still quite happy in my own skin and nowhere near craving city life, but I’ll be happy when people can start connecting again.
