I’m curious as to how an article with 440 claps by 36 people is distributed in the “popular on Medium" category.

Sorry to the author of the article, which is actually very good, but lots of writers have been begging Medium to explain the newly inexplicable distribution policies that are tanking views and reads for almost everybody.

So far Medium has refused to say even one word about how crazy things have become for writers.

Here is an opportunity for somebody at Medium to step up to the plate and give us real, solid, concrete information with data behind it.

What’s going on, Medium? This story is clearly not “popular on Medium.” So why is it being distributed as such?
