I'm always astonished when somebody brings up the Sodom story as a condemnation of homosexuality. Even as a small child in Sunday school, a plain reading of the text yielded to me no such conclusion. Theologians and biblical scholars, even conservative ones, are likely to admit this quite readily. Yet people keep bringing it up, even ministers and church workers whose training ought to have equipped them to know better.
