"If you’re a single woman who finds herself pregnant, they will not pay for any of your needs..."

Seriously? I know a little bit about these networks, enough to know they're made up of very conservative Christians strongly opposed to abortion.

So I'm confused.

Genuine question: how does not paying maternity costs for a woman who became pregnant outside marriage square with supporting women so they don't pursue abortion as an alternative to giving birth?

I can just hear it now. "Oh, my pregnancy is going to bankrupt me? I am now so super determined to go through with it! I will definitely not have an abortion, which would probably be more sensible anyway, but you know ... This healthcare network sure taught me what I needed to know! I shall now gladly suck it up and impoverish myself while making caring for my baby economically difficult or impossible."
