If you respect the church for being stubborn about its extremist homophobic teachings, I can only observe that there is something deeply morally wrong with you. Do you respect members of the KKK for “sticking to their guns?” I don’t think I’m going out on a limb by presuming you don’t. You and I both know stubbornness is not a virtue in and of itself.

The fact that you respect the Church for its vicious teachings demonstrates clearly to me that you are an evil person.

You need to reject hate-centered anti-LGBTQ teachings and work hard to become a better, more moral person.
