If you can write stories and poetry that move you, you should write them, regardless of what they are about.

If they move you, they will probably move somebody else.

Getting people interested enough to read something is the measure of success. Whether or not that turns into money on Medium is secondary and a byproduct.

I don’t ignore most advice-givers about Medium success, I listen to people’s experiences.

But then I make my own decisions about what I need to do, based on the things that I feel I need to write about.

And so far, that works okay for me.
