If you accidentally deleted your draft and contact Medium support, they might be able to help you. This happened recently to a P&P writer, and he was very pleasantly surprised that a Medium support person was able to restore his draft from backup.

This is not something Medium advertises. But if you ask nicely, they might be able to help you.
