If I were a social worker, I'd be highly reluctant to place children with Evangelical families, because I'd fear for their mental health, especially if they turned out to be LGBTQ. They'd be at high risk in that case of suicidal ideation, severe depression, and even of being subjected to conversion therapy. I was raised by Evangelicals, and my childhood was a nightmare in consequence. I wouldn't want to see any child live through the hell I lived through.
