I'm reminded that in the state of Ohio, next door to where I live, 50 to 70 girls under the age of 15, per year, had abortions over the last several years.

That's 50 to 70 small girls, most of them likely raped by adult men, who almost had their lives destroyed. Almost risked their lives.

I became aware of these numbers only because of the 10-year-old girl who was raped in Ohio and needed an abortion in neighboring Indiana because of Ohio's strict anti-abortion laws.

I became aware of it only because Republicans (men!) all over the nation scoffed at the story, saying the woman doctor in Indiana who performed the abortion and told press about it made it up for political purposes.

Republican men tried to destroy her reputation and her practice, and then the rapist was arrested, and it turned out everything she said was 100% correct.

And now ignorant Republican men are still trying to say women lie about being raped, and insist that women must carry every pregnancy to term no matter what.

You know, Republicans have a damn tiger by the tail. Many Republican women see this kind of shit and throw up a little bit in their mouths.

I don't know if that's going to make a big difference at the polls, but I sure hope it does.
