I wrote about this event just the other day, highlighting the Nazi salutes and hateful chants that Proud Boys and Patriot Front members employed in the streets leading up to the church.

And yes, once again, some members of the Columbus Police Department were observed making signals of solidarity and agreement to the armed, masked men.

I have a very difficult time understanding why anyone would urge counter protesters to stay away.

The streets were filled with overt, irrational anti-LGBTQ hate ... and hate won that day. The event got canceled.

Counter protesters did show up, but coverage of them was so light that you could quite rationally believe that the community approved of the protests.

We have to stand up to this kind of horror show. We just have to.
