I would love to help out, but I haven’t been allowed to donate blood since the beginning of the HIV pandemic.

While restrictions on gay men donating blood have relaxed some, they haven’t entirely gone away. I’m conflicted about the regulations, because I recognize they’re based on a certain extent on data and science.

But I have heard experts arguing that blanket restrictions no longer make sense.
