I would like to point out to Maya that selling T-shirts to raise funds is something probably most non-profit organizations do. When I was on the board of a theatre organization, we sold t-shirts. And they were unisex. Because it’s cheaper to get them that way, and in my experience that’s what nonprofits usually do. And while many of the actors in the company were gay, as tends to stereotypically be the case in theatre, we were by no means a queer organization. Most of the other board members were cis/straight women from the luncheon set.
