I would answer that Madonna is over-the-top talented – an enormously gifted artist with an almost unique ability to connect to people through poetry and music.

She certainly appears to have a lot of drive, but drive without her great artistic talent probably wouldn’t have gotten her to the heights that she achieved – or helped her connect so powerfully with so many people.

Can talent be separated from drive? I don’t know. Artistic geniuses like Madonna are almost always highly driven people. It’s rare to find someone rise to great artistic success by talent alone.
