I wonder if part of the problem with lack of progressive ally-ship from cis people is due to insidious normalization of transphobia caused by powerful UK media and government organizations endorsing it, directly or on the sly.

Well, I guess I don’t wonder too much. I think that effect is pretty obvious.

The only way to combat that effect is for more progressive cis people to speak up. Certainly, not choosing a side is not helpful.
