I wonder how he squares this with the reality that gay men have, throughout human existence, often had sex with women because they felt obligated to even though they did not experience sexual attraction. I could raise my hand here. I'm a cisgender gay man who has never experienced sexual attraction to women. (Female anatomy is sexually, though not esthetically, off-putting to me.) Yet I, like many other cisgender gay men, have had sex with women on a handful of occasions. My motivations ranged from an attempt to stop being gay (when I was a teenager), to curiosity, to wishing to please a beloved woman friend.

It's ordinary, actually, in the world of gay men, to hear stories about closing one's eyes and thinking of a hot guy (rather than thinking of England) in order to become capable of doing the deed.
