I woke up this morning to the news that the Justice Department has dropped all of its civil rights cases again school districts that are banning books about Black people and queer people. I woke up to the news that this is the Trump administration saying that education is being returned to the control of the states.

Where have we heard that before? "States rights" has always and only been a mantra seeking to advance racism and other evil.

And now, the monsters are fully in charge. Trump's howlingly evil sycophants (like Steven Miller, whose own family describes him as a irredeemable monster) hold the reigns of power in the federal government.

Their targets are the marginalized, the relatively powerless, the immigrant, anybody they think of as Other.

What makes me sick to my stomach is how many people are saying we should understand these evil monsters, treat them kindly, respect their belief systems, whatever.

They're going to laugh at us and trample us no matter how we behave or how we talk to them.

Decent people need to start growing some spines and decrying these monsters as the immoral, evil forces that they are.

I swear, if I hear one more person saying that we have to acknowledge that we marginalized people bear some responsibility for what happened in November, I'm going to scream so loud my cats are going to wonder what's happening.

I sure hope we (on the left) get over this collective instinct or whatever it is to "respect" evil and treat monsters with kindness.

We had better start fighting for all we're worth, because if we don't, they're going to destroy us. While they laugh at us and mock us even more.

It's time to fight!
