I wish millions of people could read this! This is the reality of the GRC debate in the UK and similar debates elsewhere. Despite fearmongering to the contrary, GRCs don't put cisgender women at risk of violence or anything else. They simply let trans people live in dignity. Your inability to be officially married within a reasonable time frame is a perfect example of what the "debate"is really about.
