Violence rates are already surging in response to Republican rhetoric – which flagship liberal institutions like the New York Times keep playing down.

The Times published an article yesterday observing that the Tennessee anti-drag law isn't really as bad as everybody thinks.

But given the recent NYT campaign against trans people I guess that's not really unexpected.

These are frightening times, and some of our allies seem to be evaporating.
