I watched the eclipse from my front porch, and the one thing that really impressed me was how many birds flocked into the feeders under my maples — just like they do every evening at twilight.

The eclipse wasn't impressive, but the increased bird activity (even if only for about 30 minutes) was lovely! And later, I got a beautiful photo of a pileated woodpecker. Coincidence, I'm sure, but a lovely one. :-)
