I watched Priscilla twice in movie theaters in New York City. What a glorious experience! The joy was infectious. Have you seen the American queer road movie sometimes compared to Priscilla?

"To Wong Fu, With Love, Julie Newmar" does resemble Priscilla in that it's a funny road movie featuring drag queens, in this case driving across the heartland of the United States. It also hasn't aged totally well, but it's still a delight to watch in that it celebrates quirky queer fun. It also showcases the innate kindness of the people in the American heartland, although that is probably not what you might have expected going into it.

A lovely film, though if it were made today, it would be made a bit differently.

Thanks for sharing your film picks! I enjoyed reading your story quite a lot.
