I was so glad to see your story and my feed just now. But I feel sad and angry that Medium refuses to put your stories in my network feed as you publish them. The same is true for all of several Medium writers like you that I adore and read faithfully.

Well, whom I used to read faithfully. Before the new app got forced on everyone, I would zip over to my network feed with my morning coffee, scan down the list of people I follow, and read the stories I chose to read.

But with the new app, Medium has stolen that choice from me and seems to be determined not to give it back. My network feed no longer contains a list of stories by all the writers I follow. It contains a tiny listing of stories by just a few writers that often goes into endless loop. When it doesn’t just freeze. No matter what I do, no matter how many times I click refresh, no matter how many times I exit the app and go back in, I get the same tire, stale, stupid list of articles I do not wish to read.

No matter what I do, I cannot get a list that contains stories by you and other writers I am accustomed to always reading. It doesn’t seem to matter how many times I clap, highlight, or respond to stories by writers I like, Medium will not show me their stories. I’m so frustrated I want to scream.

I am literally to the point now I dread entering the Medium app. I genuinely hate reading Medium now, which is so sad considering it used to be my favorite part of every morning.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that when I don’t engage with your stories, it’s because Medium is refusing to show me your stories.
