I was shocked to learn some time ago that the federal prison system doesn't even include "rehabilitation" as one of its aims. The Federal Bureau of Prisons eliminated most education programs beyond GED many years ago come along before covid came along.

It's hard to understand how anyone thinks that eliminating prison education programs is going to lead to more successful integration into society for inmates when they are released.
