I was pretty excited when I first saw the announcement. I think an article showed up in my Facebook feed. Then I took a close look at the dolls, sighed, and asked myself how many trans people, especially non-binary trans people, Mattel had working with the design team.

I mean, credit to them for having the idea. But the execution? Disappointing.
