I was out on the porch bird watching yesterday when the first Canada geese of the season flew over, winging their way toward you.
Three perfect V formations flew very low over the house. The first group circled the pond a couple blocks away and looked like they landed for a rest. The next two groups flew low over the pond but evidently decided it was too crowded or not to their taste. They kept going, but they would not have had to go far to find the next body of water.
I forgot just how loud and raucous they can be. The racket! Oh my. But it's lovely.
