I was living in Indianapolis when Anita Bryant started ranting, and I suffered quite a lot internally due to her message. I believed pretty terrible things about myself. But you know what? By 1990, I was wearing Silence = Death on my clothes every day of my life, either in the form of a pen or a patch. I kept it up until almost the year 2000. Terry's story is important, because we all have to push back against what's happening right now. And in the end, I believe that those who wish to silence us will lose as conclusively as Bryant did.
