I was already laughing at Vance after seeing a tweet this morning by one of his Yale Law School classmates, featuring a photo of Vance seeming to have a lovely time dressed in drag – a mere 11 years ago.

This is the same Vance who now claims the drag needs to be criminalized because it's destroying civilization. Or something. I don't think he really knows, except that opposing queerness feels to him like a quick ticket to populist power.

Perhaps he craves a career like Pinochet's where he can lay claim to (at least) thousands of murders?

Yeah, never mind. I've stopped laughing.

It's funny on one level, but it's really not. I don't think Vance is serious enough to pull off a career like Pinochet's, but it's not for want of trying!
