I want serious articles about big bad oil companies. And Trump. And Biden. And how social media is failing in important societal ways.

But I still mostly get self improvement articles in my Medium feed. By men in corporate America, or who used to be corporate America, who want to tell me how to get rich and how to become a better person at the same time.

It’s enough to make me pull my hair out and scream. I never read those articles. I don’t care about those articles. Frankly, I think the articles are shallow and stupid, if you want to know the bare truth.

People don’t read them because they’re important, they read them because they want to get rich and they think there’s a shortcut to follow.

Ugh.

Now, excuse me while I wade through my feed looking for something actually interesting.
