I think you’re misrepresenting Jewish law here. Yes, they would have been ritually unclean, but only until they ritually cleansed themselves. This kind of anti-Semitic thought is common among Christian writers, and you really need to avoid it studiously.

I know so many observant Jews who are outraged at how Christians misrepresent their religion, and you are part of the reason why.
