I think what's happening is that Mom's for Liberty made a big tactical error. They were too honest about who they are. A small minority of very conservative women in the United States, mostly Evangelical Christians, want to take us back to the 1950s. They want to live in a world where most women don't work and where husbands and fathers are in charge. They believe this is religiously important.
Women like this are strongly represented in Mom's for Liberty and other similar conservative groups. They're usually smart enough not to say so, because they know the vast majority of women in the United States are not okay with their vision.
That Pennsylvania book ban is not going to last, because the majority of parents in the school district are outraged.
So in a way, I'm actually happy in this case that MFL broadcast so clearly who they really are.
