I think this is super cool. When I first saw the method a couple weeks ago, I bet myself that some math teachers would start using it to help their students understand better what they’re doing. Just personally, I think it’s easier to use this method and understand its derivation then it is to derive and understand the quadratic formula.
I mean, anybody can memorize and use the formula, but if they don’t know why it works, they’re just being little arithmetic machines.
If I were a math teacher, I would be excited to teach this to my kids.
