I think this is such an important point. I won't go into a deep dive on the subject here because I don't want to distract from your important points about bisexuality, but I think sexually repressive cultures often or usually nurture sexual abuse, even though the effect is unlikely to be intentional.
My own experiences are rooted in Catholicism and conservative Protestant Christianity. (My extended family is Catholic, my parents converted to Baptist after I started Catholic school.)
My general observation here, which I've supported more in depth elsewhere, is that people brought up in a culture that makes sex shameful are much more likely to be sexually abused. In fact, I believe Conservative Christian attitudes about sex can be causally linked to elevated sex-abuse rates in their institutions.
I'm glad to see you bringing it up in the context of bisexuality, which given my pretty polarized gay orientation isn't something I have personally experienced or know much about.
