I think think your instinctual, internal response is a sad and common commentary on how pervasive homophobic toxins are in our environments. It’s hard to avoid internalizing them despite howeve much we may be queer positive.

Dissonance is ordinary! Here’s to hoping that one day our children may live in a world where those toxins have dissipated.
