Your story would be funny if it weren't so deadly serious. The Texas attorney general is already going after the medical records of trans youth who might have received gender-affirming care out of state. So far, he's been legally stymied, but he hasn't stopped trying.

And he's not seeking those records for some benign data-collection purpose.

We should believe what the Texas Republicans tell us they intend to do. Because they really do want to usher in a dystopia for women and queer people. They aren’t joking.
