I think maybe another reason gay people aren’t embracing this guy is it many of us have never heard of him.

I mean, I can’t speak for every gay man of course, but I’ve never watched The Bachelor. It’s not just that I don’t like reality TV, which admittedly I don’t, it’s that I’m not particularly interested in straight people’s romantic antics. Especially when they’re semi-scripted.

Watching straight people court is about as interesting to me as watching paint dry.

So when I heard about him coming out, I tried to be interested, but having no idea who he was to begin with, it was kind of hard to care.
