I think it's very helpful to remember that when trans people push for trans rights, they're just asking for the same freedom to make decisions for themselves, including medical decisions, that most people in society simply take for granted.
It's helpful to remember that what anti-trans politicians are doing right now is passing laws to tell trans people that they can't take their own doctors' medical advice.
It's helpful to remember that these politicians are not legislating out of scientific concern. They're legislating despite and contrary to what science tells us about trans people, and perhaps more critically, what trans people tell us about their own lives.
We're not going back.
That's the heart and soul of Julia's campaign.
We don't need to equivocate or compromise about that. Transgender people are fully human and as fully deserving of autonomy and respect as anyone!
No compromise.
No compromise.
No compromise.
Politicians must hear that people of good will in the U.S. refuse to compromise on basic dignity and decency.
That should not be hard.
That should not be hard at all.
No compromise.
