I think it very much depends on the kind of corporate environment you are in. I’ve never worked for a corporate giant with truly progressive policies and diverse workforce. I think that would have given me a different perspective.

I also neglected to mention academia in this essay, which is a very different world indeed and one in which I think where queer men feel much more at home.

And of course, I’m older. While my business partners in this story are a generation younger than me, they’re almost a generation older than you. That probably changes things a lot.
