I think I kind of lucked out in my late teens as an emerging gay man. Without the Internet and PornHub and all that, a lot of the gay kids I started meeting when I was around 17 years old really didn’t know how to have sex. We weren’t good at the mechanics of penetrative gay sex, which can take some learning.

So a couple of my early lovers and I spent a lot of time in bed mostly doing what we would later come to describe as foreplay. As a result, I learned to value a whole-body sexual experience as an amazing pleasure all on its own.

To this day, foreplay remains my favorite part of sex. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!
