I think at this point it’s pretty obvious that Trump is going to lose the election. But his supporters aren’t going anywhere, and that’s going to be a huge problem.

How do we heal the nation while a large, very loud minority pushes the twisted ideals of trumpism on the national stage?

Will Fox News suddenly turn responsible? Of course not. They’ll push ideas that resonate with Trump people, glorying in their ratings and the money that results.

Trump’s true believers will continue to fight against the simplest health measures like wearing masks and social distancing.

For them it’s like a religion.

I don’t know what the answers are, but the real work will start after the election, and it will be a struggle.
