I suppose with some people there could be a deeper root cause. But we've got a huge cause staring us right in the face that we can actually do something about.
Churches, like Baptist churches and Roman Catholic churches, teach vicious, horrible things about queer people.
And most of us just accept that as the way things are.
We have to stop accepting it.
We have to start giving religion pass for for doctrines that say we queer people are depraved and disordered.
That's what the Roman Catholic Church teaches to school children all over the world, and we have to stand up together and insist that they stop doing that.
If they refuse, we have to treat them like the depraved bigots they are. We have to stop accepting them as good people.
Only by applying pressure, do we stand a chance of changing those sickening doctrines and teachings.
That's a whole world of work that needs to be done. After that work gets done, I suppose we could worry about a significant minority of people who are homophobic bigots for different, mysterious reasons that don't have something to do with their revered religious teachings.
