I still don’t get it. You need many more votes to change the constitution than to elect a different senate. So why not fight for the more attainable goal? A Constitutional Convention or a series of amendments is a pipe dream. How will you possibly muster the votes for that?

Electing a Democratic Senate is cake by comparison. And it’s really quite possible in 2020, though by no means a sure thing.
