I share much of you are strong feeling, Tiffany, but I remain grateful to the hard work a lot of people are doing within Christianity, mostly mainline Protestant Christianity, to get rid of theology and traditional practices that oppress LGBTQ people. Entire denominations now fully affirm queer people to the point of ordaining transgender people members of same-sex couples. The Episcopal church and others like it have queer people in senior leadership positions and explicitly reject condemnatory theologies.
I'm not a Christian, but I can't help but think that reforming Christianity is far more practical and possible than eliminating it.
